Sepia Lux was originally envisioned and commissioned for Burning Man in 2018. A team of diverse and talented artists and builders worked to bring the vision to reality. After some setbacks due to the pandemic, Sepia Lux made its debut in the desert in 2022. Since its debut, Sepia Lux has been set free into the world for the enjoyment of all; participating in parades, festivals, and other events including museums, fairs and more. For Edge on the Square’s 4th annual contemporary art festival, Sepia Lux will partner with local Asian American DJs in presenting dynamic music that reflects the theme SUPER FLEX: Powered by Alter Egos and Shadow Selves.​​
