About the Event

Audrey Tang joins us for April's edition of the popular culinary series MSG: Making, Sharing, Gathering at Edge on the Square!
Audrey started Batik And Baker in 2021, as a playspace for creative expression, curiosity and a craving for comforting flavors of childhood. Today, Batik And Baker thrives on connection and community, and is a way of sharing familiar treats and an invitation to try something new and unexpected.
Audrey grew up in Penang, Malaysia, with memories of meals and stories with her Peranakan grandmother and weekends baking with her mom. She now calls Oakland home, with her husband and a senior pug named Steve. Audrey graduated from San Francisco Cooking School, and has worked with the amazing chefs and craftspeople at Craftsman and Wolves, Mister Jiu’s and Cotogna.
